Hard to believe, but the baby of our bunch is about to turn 3!! I took her out today for a few minutes of photos (yes, minutes, she is such a model!) and then onto grilled cheese sandwiches and chocolate milkshakes at Avalon Diner (if ever you are in Houston, this place is a must eat!)> after Avalon we headed Sugarbaby's - the cutest cupcake place EVER!!

I'd normally say a little thank you to my model but she can't read.. she IS a genius but not that advanced just yet ;)

Ok so maybe they didn't technically get engaged today when we shot these but they really did get engaged at Hermann... and they were kind enough to re-enact the proposal for us... and I love the result!! - maybe its my mad photography skills or Giovanna's academy award winning performance... either way, it's downright cute ;)

In case all of you ladies are admiring Giovanna's dress (much like I was) she got it through Victoria's Secret - I know!!! So fabulous!

Braggin rights alone should have gotten me to post this asap!! But noooo.. I got all caught up in life and work and then time passed and.. sigh you know the story. Anyway, here we are fast approaching Lynsey's bridal portraits, which I KNOW are going to be fantastic.. so I thought I ought to get their engagement photos up!! This great couple flew all the way to So Cal to be with us (we were out there shooting a wedding) to do their engagement photos. Okay maybe it wasn't JUST to be with us ... but mostly anyway. Lynsey is a sweet and spontaneous girl who chooses to live life to its fullest and not only roll with the punches but to find joy in everyday moments. I must say a huge thank you to this family for being such an example to the rest of us :)

Paraiso Maravilla is an amazing place to shoot bridal portraits and Tiffany is gorgeous.. really, need I say more?? :)

Ok so I originally just tried to post this and I wrote all this stuff about how fabulous this couple is and how much fun we had with them.. yadda yadda.. and then.. it didn't go through!! And although none of you read it, it just feels so insincere and redundant to type it all over again... ugh.

Guys- we had a blast shooting with you in Galveston!! Hopefully we'll be hanging out soon, minus our cameras!!

Kelly and I have just returned from some much needed time away in New Orleans.. yay us!! Hopefully I will get a chance to blog a little about our trip... but boo for those of you who are waiting for your pics. So without further adieu..

My List Of "Do's" as inspired by Cory & Theresa:

-DO trust your momma... Theresa's mom did most of the planning as these two love birds were busy serving our great Nation!

-DO sing along in church if you know the song - as recorded in my sweet pic ;)

-DO remain calm when you brush by a tire or some other unknown substance and get black stuff (yes BLACK) on your very white dress.. Theresa you are a trooper!!

-DO make the whole "groom goes up dress to find garter pic" an opportunity for a fabulous facial expression.. I love it!!

-DO get a little daring when you feed the cake

-which brings me to DO help clean up your mess from previously mentioned "DO" as 1) it is nice and 2) it makes such a sweet picture.. awwww

-DO remain true to you even if silly photographer wants to make you smile in every photo.. but DO give in for just a few ;) (thank you so much Cory.. I think we captured who you are.... both in the non-smiling as well as smiling)

-DO have a do-over bouquet toss if you really want to.. and much like the young lady who caught it in the unofficial 1st toss; DO bow out gracefully (girl I am so proud of you.. because my competitive nature would have SPOKEN!!)

-DO hire us to shoot your wedding!! Thank you so much!!!

I must say that I am always grateful when we book someone who is genuinely super enthusiastic about photos - ok, MOST of you are, which is why you booked us, right? - but Stacey is a step above... which makes her hiring us that much sweeter.

You guys did a wonderful job.. and even laughed at me even when I was having a rough comedic day - I swear I'm much funnier than that! hehehe

Here's to no my paint ball debauchles and to being able to keep the wedding date you want!! Appreciate you guys :)

I do want to say thank you so much to this couple who waited a little longer to see a sneak peek. We have had some family health issues over the holidays which slowed down production. Huge bummer.

As usual, I had a terrible time choosing photos for this little teaser (note to self: please hurry the heck up and remedy this problem)... do I include all pics that correlate with my list of "DO's"? Do I mix up choices to show some variety?? I I just don't know!! So here's what I picked for whatever reason i wanted to :)

My List of 'DO's' as inspired my Mike and Tiffany (hang in there may be more than usual ;) ):

-DO choose to be in it for the long haul. Mike and Tiffany had the guests do the anniversay dance - you know the one - and even when they got to 25 years or more married that dance floor was still full. How incredible!! This was so touching that both Kelly and I got a little misty eyed stupid "allergies"

-DO be gracious and light hearted... even when the minister calls you by your sister's name.. 3 times.

-DO have a dance off with your new spouse... because its flippin' funny to watch. And who doesn't love dancing??

-DO incorporate something meaningful (AND fun) for you Mother/Son dance. Mike and his mom danced to "New York, New York" This alone was a blast but then they took it one step further and had family join in .. which then turned into the best wedding kick line I have ever witnessed.

-DO shut the rest of the world out to; glance at, smile at, whisper sweet nothings, dance with, kiss and generally just enjoy your new spouse... whether its during the ceremony, reception, taking pictures... you get the point. Have a mentioned before that these guys really like each other??

-DO have your dad as your best man. :) It's sweet. And he deserves it. ANd Kelly did this so its very personally special to me.

-DO humor your photographer (which hopefully will be me :D). Even if said photographer nearly cracks her head open tripping down a stair (yes, not plural.. ONE stair). Or even when said photographer ask you to "pretend laugh". Or even if she asks you to make multiple silly faces at the camera.

-DO be a TEENY bit naughty when feeding each other cake. A tiny dab of frosting on the nose never hurt anyone.

-DO cutloose Footloose... just know that if you do it is taking all of my will power to not jump on the dance floor and do my best Kevin Bacon impression.

-Mothers; DO take a cue from these moms and look FABULOUS!! Really we have been so fortunate to have incredibly gorgeous couples to shoot and on top of that some of the most stunning moms I have ever seen. I only hope I look as fabulous on my daughters wedding day.

-DO hire whatever DJ Mike and Tiffany used.. of which I need to apologize again for not getting info. Mike and Tiffany; PLEASE rescue me and post his info.

-DO buy all your bridesmaids cozy tracksuits to wear while getting ready on your wedding day. As a veteran bridesmaid (17 or so times over) I know I would have like one!!

-Grooms - when someone says, "wow doesn't your wife look beautiful?".. DO respond like this "yes, but she always looks beautiful"... everyone together now.. Awwwww... (good job Mike)

-DO come read my blog.. and DO hire us for your wedding...
